Hands On With K-7 at Fry's Burbank, CA. Today

Went to Fry's and played with the K-7 for a bit. It is a very nice feeling camera and the size is seems smaller than the given specs, the controls are very well placed and thought out, IMHO.

The camera feels of quality, after picking up the K-7, I picked up Canon's 50D and 40D along with Sony's DSLR'S, they are all big and ponderous compared to the Pentax entry, the Sony units are just ugly and bulky.

I'm sad about the noise issue with the K-7 - I'm hoping added firmware will improve it.

It is a very nice feeling machine indeed :-)

I found the K7 to be too small for my taste. I'm afraid this is a deal breaker for me. I don't want a camera that small no matter how capeable it may be. I hope the next generation of Pentax is a little larger in size.
