I have a Pentax *ist DS and recently picked up a 2gb memory card. The card stops at 1gb. I was wondering if the camera is not able to read more then 1gb, maybe a setting that needs changed, or something that I am doing. Any suggests are appreciated.

Wasn't that problem fixed with a firmware update?

Yep . . . fixed with last firmware update . . . version 2.02 . . . go here

Had the same problem ekim. But in my case Firmware WAS updated, and my 4GB card stopped at 1GB. Problem I think is with the card - not SDHC as required, or card itself is a shoddy case of a high capacity card...

The *ist DS with the newest firmware has a maximum memory card size of 32Gb

The issue that i have heard happening is counterfeit memory cards that are labelled as certain size and aren't, i suppose the question is, where did you buy the card and what brand is it.
