I ran into the IR remote / autobracketing menu problem on the K100, thus I went to the wired alternative. I have since acquired a K20, which solved the problem, but I still like the wired remote better. I actually want to try out the remote software utility, as I have some ideas using it. Also, when I get home and look at the images on the larger monitor, I usually come up with additional ideas that I should have tried. With the little netbooks, this route might provide a reasonable quick look ability.
