It does not sound as though the reviewer is a serious photographer, but more of a gadget guy. Maybe not.

Wouldnt the difference in lenses have any impact on the blind tests? It seems F4 Pentax lens might have been better compared to the Nikon Zoom

I bought my Pentax k-m in Israel, was cheaper then UK prices and more expensive then USA prices. Lenses & Camera accessories are expensive here. Not many used lenses available.
K7 body = $1700
k-m/k2000 + 18-55 lens kit = $520
K20d + 18-55 lens kit = $1050
Pentax DA 55-300MM F4-5.8 ED = $600
PENTAX-DA 35mm F2.8 Macro Limited = $890

Lots of bright sun here & no rain between May and October

My next visit to USA I will buy some nice lenses - Pentax prices are rising fast!!

And welcome wally641 - interesting report on the Israeli prices - quite a lot more than RRP.
Might be worthwhile just getting your gear through B&H or the like...

it's better if wally orders from the U.S. than to get one in Israel. I mean that's 400 bucks more than you can handle. you could get the K-7 for 1,300 bucks and pay a bit of import tax for less than a 100 bucks. from what I see, the U.K prices and Israel price doesn't seem that far-off anymore, unless if you are buying jewelries.

Great review and thanks for posting the link.

As much as I'd like to go for it now, I decided when it was released, to wait for it until next summer because I wanted to justify purchasing my K20D, and also to accumulate some better glass first.
