Rotating images on K7 before uploading to a computer

Anyone know if it is possible to rotate images on a K7 before uploading them to the computer?

The manual says you can rotate and save images for displaying on a TV but when I do that they still remain unrotated when I upload the images to my computer.

What am I doing wrong?

How are you opening them on your computer?

I know my thumbnails aren't rotated in Windows Explorer, but when I open in PS they are rotated already.

Don't have a K7, but my K20D autorotates in playback, then they're rotated when I upload them to PC.

Mine autorotates images in playback but when I upload to my computer they remain as they were captured.

Rotating Images
The K20D features a function that uses a sensor to rotate and correct
the direction of the image when an image is captured with the side of the
shutter release button facing up and the Mode dial facing down. You can
also rotate the captured image 90° counterclockwise at a time with the
steps below.
1 Press the "Play" button.
Use the four-way controller (Left or Right) to display the image you want to
rotate.
2 Press the four-way controller (Down).
The image is rotated 90° counterclockwise each time the button is
pressed.
3 Press the OK button.
Image rotation information is saved.
You cannot save image rotation information for a protected image or when [33.
Auto Image Rotation] in the ["C" Custom Setting] menu is set to Off.
So maybe check the Custom Setting menu to see if the Auto Image Rotation is set. I've never touched that setting and they're always rotated on playback or saving to computer and opening in Photoshop Elements.

You shouldn't have to do anything special to get the images to appear rotated - the orientation sensor in the camera stores information in the file that tells any viewing program how to dislay the picture. I think you might have an older / crippled version of ACDSee, but it probably has an option in it somewhere - perhaps in the dialog box you use to downlaod the pictures - to automatically rotate the images on import. Be sure to use that option. For pictiures already downloaded, try selecting them then running Batch Rotate, selecting the option to rotate according to EXIF.

I do, it dates back to 2004 - maybe that's the problem. I'll install and try the software that came with the K7.
