I would check out Microsoft's Bing cashback program. Here's some info on it from Slickdeals. It's what I used to get a new K20D body from Newegg for $566 shipped (after 10% CB) recently.

Right now, it looks like the best deal is through Regal Camera, and it's $657 (after 6% CB) shipped for the body AND AL II lens. Here's the Bing Shopping link. You'll also see a link to the body-only sales if you change your mind on that. I went body-only to get a Sigma 17-70, but I've also used the AL II kit lens a bit and found it quite good.

The Microsoft Bing cashback program is legit.

For example, Beachcamera.com, a quite reputable store, is selling the K20D for $629 through their Ebay account.
So using the Bing cashback and Paypal, you end up getting the camera for $566.

One drawback is that you actually purchase the camera for the full price of $629, but then in 60 days you can get Microsoft to send you a check for $62.90.

The only problem with the K20D via eBay would be the ability to return it if you didn't like it for whatever reason. If Bing brings back the cashback to 14% then it would be the better deal.. but at 10% it's not as hot.

Right now BuyDig.com has the camera body for $609 plus it includes the additional 2 year warranty + a crappy 4 gig card. There is a Bing cashback of 6%. Which comes out to $572.

ALSO the price of the Samsung GX-20 WITH 18-55mm Lens is down on Amazon.com to $677. Basically the same camera but there's a couple of thing you don't get
1) the PEF (smaller) file format.
2) You don't get the extended dynamic range.
3) The K20D battery grip requires some modification to work.
The 1.03 firmware was just released by Samsung which makes everything on par with each other. I did a couple of test shots with both the GX-20 and the K20D and I felt the GX-20 produced nicer colors..

I originally had K20D on the way but I refused shipment because of a screw up.. now I'm curious about the K2000/Km sucessor. It's already late August. I could wait 2 more months.

Just things to consider..

It's $749.95 at Adorama. I would have thought the K20D prices would have come down since the K7 came out, but I guess not.
