Cheap digital cameras, SLR cameras, video cameras - Canon, Sony, Nikon, Olympus, JVC :: Digidirect Australia

I always saw them show up on shopbot and thought they were some dodgy online retailer, but I actually walked past their store in Sydney yesterday.

They had 3 K7s and heaps of lenses boxed up and ready to go.

Pretty sure it's Aus Stock, but worth checking.

What unusual delays have CRK had? Sounds intriguing.

FWIW, the CameraHouse chain may also have stock (I saw one in a local CH store, at top dollar), as may vanbar.com.au.

certainly seems there is still some k-7's lurking around aus.
seems like me and juice and the rest of the waiters may be better of just waiting.
i aint paying the 2,000 that teds want 4 it.
i also thought the same thing about digidirect,which is why i ordered through dcw.
but now im just gonna say its best to pick up the phone and call as many retailers as you can till you find one.
tis a bit sad ive already deposited the money into their account

oh well
i have learned the hard way!and in future will ask you all next time.

spose i can wait a couple of extra weeks!!!lol

well i called dcw today and they hung up on me straight out...bastads
so i called up again straight after and the guy said they were expecting stock in this week....so fingers crossed!!

Also i recieved this email from pentax/kennedy

We are receiving K-7 stock on a regular basis.

However, at the moment the amount of stock available is not enough to cover all the back orders.

We expect this situation to continue for 1-2 months.

In order to secure stock please place an order in advance with one of our retailers.

I cancelled the order I had and after confirming stock with DigiDirect over the phone ordered with them today. Hopefully it will be here before I leave on my trip next week!

I also asked at JB Hifi today and after calling CR Kennedy they said they wouldn't be able to get any until late September, so that's probably when all the backorders will be filled.
