K100D Firmware Upgrade

Is the K100D firmware upgrade available anywhere else besides the Pentax site? The upgrade download no longer appears to be offered there.

I submitted a help request on the Pentax site but apparently they're closed until Monday. I have a shoot tomorrow and was hoping to use 4GB memory cards, which I can't do on the K100D without the upgrade.

I currently have v1.00 but never felt the need to use a larger memory card (and those are all SD HCs) until now...my bad.

I found the K100D firmware upgrade (v1.02) on the Japanese site which can be viewed in English, and successfully upgraded my K100d. It now accepts 4GB SDHC chips. Hooray!!

Thanks so much for your post regarding the Japanese firmware upgrade site.

I did not have success using the file from the pentaximaging.com site, but for some reason the file from the Japanese site worked perfectly.

I have K100D Super. Is this firmware for me?

No, you are so fortunate that your camera came with that upgraded firmware from the factory. There is no upgrade firmware for the Super!
