Sunrise around the globe.

This was tried a year or so back on the other forum, but didn't really get off the ground.
I know its short notice, but often these things will work better with a degree spontaneity rather than lots of planning.

So here goes. (seeking the indulgence of the moderators).....

The propoosal:
Starting at the International Date Line on Sunday May 20. 2007.
Each forum member (who wishes to participate) will take a sunrise shot. (it does not have to be an award winning shot, and it doesn't matter if its cloudy, best guess will do in that circumstance.)
Post in the photo forum ( I will start a thread there with the same title).
Try and keep them in order (or as close to it as possible).
Try and post within two hours of taking the shot.
Include your location in your post.
The aim is to to get a "rolling" series of shots of the sunrise around the planet.

You game?
Lets see if we can pull this off.
Cheers
Grant

PS: will start the other thread in "post your photos" tonight.

Interesting concept. I'll probably be up anyway to the sounds of a crying baby, so I'll give it a go...

That sounds like a really cool idea. If I can drag myself out of bed I'll give it a shot (pun intended)

Good idea but the Sun rises at 05:19 that morning, quite early for me but I could make an attempt.

I could get you a sunset pic that night, but I'm spending tomorrow night at a friends place and don't want to risk waking anyone up that early.

Don't think I'll be able to drag myself out of bed for this (although I like the ieda). Might I suggest that as each participant posts photos, that they post the time zone, based on GMT (ie. GMT-8) for easy reference.

I'll do it, IF I can get out of bed. Probably the biggest *if* in the history of mankind though

Yeah, too late here. I'm not a morning person anyway.

Couldn't manage this morning - too cloudy in Wales, but took this sunrise in Torremolinos, Spain, last month.
