Poll: Pentax Digital Bodies

I only own a K2000 at the moment. I really want the K-7 though.

So far the K10D is the most popular digital body, which is not suprising. Most popular on Flickr too of the Pentax bodies.

Bump. I going to ask that this poll get locked in about 21 days to prevent problems when the K-x hits the shelf since that wasn't on my radar when I started this poll.

I realize thats there a lot of problems with polling, but if one can ignore the niceties for the moment, these numbers are interesting.

The K10 and K20 appear to have been "game changers" for Pentax. At the current rate, I'm guessing the K7 will reach those numbers as well.

What i can't figure out, is why the Km and K2000 are so low. When the Km came out, there were reports of them selling out in Japan, and they had a popular following in the various Pentax forums. Could it be that Km owners don't spend as much time on forums as the owners of larger SLR cameras.

Anyway, interesting poll - thanks to the OP for doing it.

I think you are right. I think Km/K2000 brought a lot of new photographers (those who weren't into photography much) into Pentax, but the kind that visit forums like these are more particular about features, and have been into photography for a while, already have a K10/K20, and don't want to lose weathersealing/dials/etc.

I am new here because of the K2000, and I think quite a number of others are too, but probably stay in beginners forum or general photography, or just make posts with questions / search for answers (as I did in the beginning) instead of reading

Membership is heavy favored to the U.S. on the board and the Canadian members have the highest participation on this board overall. I don't think there were as many cameras provided here. So we probably have more Americans and Canadians voting as a result linked to less bodies marketed here by Pentax. It was sold here as the K2000 rather than the K-m. That may be another factor. I was still expecting it to poll at about twice the numbers than it is.
