K20D mushy shutter release

My K20d shutter release button seems to be getting mushy when I compare it to the less used grip shutter release. I have about 18000 actuations. Anyone else have this issue?

Download PhotoMe, PhotoME - Exif, IPTC & ICC Metadata Editor

Then open a recent photo in it. The clicks are listed in the info.

The problem with mine is that it's now getting sticky at times. I hold it half way down and it sticks for a bit, and may feel mushy. Is that what it feels like?
