Shake reduction K10D

Is the shake reduction function still operational on my K10D?

When I go to the 'menu' function in 'rec mode' and scroll down to 'shake reduction' the words shake reduction are visible but are opagued out. If I switch between shake reduction on/off there appears to be no change in the script "shake reduction" on the menu screen.

I cannot recall if this is as it was when the camera was purchased or what I am seeing is essentially an error message

If someone could check their K10D and let me know what they see it would be appreciated.

Troutman: The SR control is still functional and controlled from the back of the camera. The menu item you are referring to is only used if you need to set the focal length of the lens because it is an older lens such as the M42 mounts and the K, M, A series lenses. If you are using say an FA or DA mount then the Focal length info is already sent to the camera and the menu item remains opaque.

Also as you are looking through the view finder there should be a little hand symbol displayed os the left side of the screen if sr is engaged, it takes a couple of seconds to activate on half press of shutter button. jim
