K7 video viewfinder

I recently purchased a k7 and I have three questions. The first is how do you maximize the length of the video on the K7? The book and everything I have read says 25 minutes or 4gb. The max I have been able to do is four minutes but now it reads about two minutes or less. I have been using 2gb sd cards but thought it would be about 12 1/2 minutes. Will the 8gb sdhc Extreme III resolve this?

The second question is can you shoot video through the viewfinder? I have only been able to shoot from the LCD screen.

The third question is what viewfinder accessory will extend the clearance to your eye? It is hard to see all of the info and to see clearly.

thx

answer to question 2: You cannot shoot video with any DSLR (with today's technology) viewing thruogh the optical viewfinder, since shooting a video means that the mirror has to flip up and allow the light to continuously fall on the sensor. Continuous flip up means continuously no image in the viewfinder.

To answer question 1:

You need a card that is rated Class 6 or faster (there are some Class10 now). On slow card, the camera's buffer can't clear fast enough to accept new info from the sensor. And note that some class 6 cards (Adata comes to mind) are not all created equal, so you are better off with brands like Sandisk, Kingston or Panasonic. Those cards have a reputation for good performance and reliability. There are other brands that will work, but steer clear of unknown brands.

2 of my 3 class 6 cards aren't cast enough for the K-7.
