I use the Pentax neck strap that came with the camera all the time. My only complaint about it is that it a little shorter than I would like. I shoot with the neck strap because I have dropped cameras through the years. As for showing the label, it doesn't matter to me. I'm cheap so this strap will stay on the camera until it breaks.

well honestly speaking, it feels kinda odd though most especially I had been wearing a Nikon logo for a long time. not because I'm not proud of it but there are things to love about the system as well. besides, it's the name brand that got me into photography.

eventhough we let our photos do the talking, there is no denying that brand plays a major role in influencing people. we will always be identified by the camera that we used no matter we say. in fact, the very existence that we are members of this forum is the fact the we use a particular brand of a camera. otherwise, this should had been called as cameraforums and not Pentaxforums.

going back to the main topic, Yes it does feel odd. but I believe that once Pentax makes an aggressive marketing promotions move like Canon does, and be able to influence a lot of consumers, that oddness would only be a thing of the past.

I don't worry about showing a Pentax logo as far as theft goes: in fact, not being one of the targeted brands, (Canon and Nikon generally, Sony maybe cause Sony electronics in general are a brand someone might think was resellable,) I think the Pentax logo probably deters thieves, if anything. I tend to be more worried about my old Canon F-1, (people really can't seem to recognize or tell this is an old film camera, despite the brassing)

That said, I don't wear logo stuff in general. The Pentax strap that came with my K20d tends to reside on the little film bodies I have, cause it folds up small and all, but I wear some good sized neoprene ones. If there was a subdued Pentax logo on there, it wouldn't bother me, but I find the bright red just kind of garish.

It's a fun thing to me about using one of the odder brands, though. It does start conversations. If it's with anyone who doesn't think much of the brand, I just say, 'Feel this.' Maybe show something on the LCD.

Yes they Do ! the reason that they don't because you don't notice them ! they are not called Assassins for nothing.

btw, seriously speaking, they do exist. I studied some of Japan's history.

I try to not be particularly obvious regardless of whether I using a Nikon, Pentax etc. However, I use the Pentax straps and Pentax slingbag and I am not worried about someones opinion. I have had the K20d, K200d and MZ-3 going at the same time at functions before. On the other hand, I have walked around all day with my Pentax Sling bag and never pull out a cam.

I have to admit...I'm a person who likes to show off their red/black Pentax Neoprene ebay strap. I also have a branded Pentax slingbag, which I love. The thing about it is that all those w/ the Canon/Nikon close their mouths and ask me how did I get that shot after they see my work. I agree.....once the shutter flies open, what did you do beforehand as a photographer to ensure a great shot ? You can shoot all day w/ a Mark III, but if you don't know what you're doing before you snap the shutter, the image will look like crap!

Pentax all day!

I use the Pentax strap that came with my K20D. I have thought about changing it (comfort wise), but just haven't done so. I also wear the black Pentax cap with red letters because I like the looks of it. Just about forgot, I also have a black East Coast Gathering t-shirt with several logos -- including a large Pentax Forum one, from our get together a couple of years ago.

I had a Nikon with a Canon lens cap in a Pentax bag. I like confusing people.
