with the pentax k20d i get more shots out of it than i can take in a day, using it all day long. in fact i dont think i've seen the battery go below half way.

Lithium probably last twice as long as rechargeable nimh, i dont really know though.

However its far too expensive to get throw away batteries of this calibre imo, just get twice as many rechargeable and you are set!

so, are there any other difference besides the duration between batteries?

i have always been suspicious about the 1,2-1,5V, i think it must affect in some way

faster autofocus, perhaps faster flash recycle time.
