Send it to CRIS if you want, but I'm afraid you'll just waste your money. It costs twenty-five dollars for them to look at it for non warranty stuff and then they'll tell you that it needs a new circuit board, etc that will cost between three and four hundred dollars to replace and you'll tell them to send it back to you. Much better just getting a refurbed K10 for about the same price. PENTAX - Factory-Refurbished 10.2-Megapixel Digital SLR Camera - Black - K10D

<sigh> I just hate to see that thing as worthless. But at $379, a refurb seems like a deal.

As said elsewhere if you get a camera wet, get the batteries out as fast as possible. Turning the camera off is not enough. If you do not believe me try turning the camera off then take the card out and put it back in again watching the read/write light (K20 anyway).

If it was me, I'd put the camera in the airing cupboard and leave it there for ages.

The rice method may work, but make sure the rice is dried and not cooked.

About 30 years ago, my KM (film, not digital) with 50mm f1.4 lens went to the bottom of a lake due to an overturned canoe. Grabbed the camera as quick as I could, shook out all the water I could, ran to the cabin, fired up the gas stove and baked the camera and lens at 200 degrees for about 2 hours. And, here we are, 30 years later and camera and lens both still work fine!!

take out battery, leave in bowl rice with a sealed top for about a few days.
Should be good to go. Chuck in a few of those silicon packets you get in like dry foods and other stuff
