OK, confession time...I ordered a K200D at $379 + tax (who could resist?) and then the next morning I thought, gee, all these guys loooove the K20D and it's only $500 even though it's a big chunker (all right, $550 with tax). Anyway, they are both on their way. When the brown Santa arrives I will have to part with one. Either return to BB for a full refund or ???? What to do? I have a Pentax 18-250mm zoom on its way from Ritz.

I bought one of the Cameta K10D "refurbs". It appeared brand new and unopened and had around 300 shutter activations - about the same as my recently acquired new K20D. It had a very late serial number and appeared to work a bit better (faster, more accurate auto focus) than my original K10D. The only thing I noticed was a "refurbished" label on the box.

Then I dropped it - but that's another story!

I wouldn't hesitate to buy a "refurb" K20D for under $500.

Got mine today and it's new or like new, spotless and everything still wrapped up and taped closed. I'll get a shutter count the next time I start up Window$ XP.

happy happy happy...so far

edit: oops can do it in Linux with exiftool. Shutter count on mine is 202, including my 2 test shots. Sounds like new to me

Awesome deal for you guys. I love refurb bargains, and would totally have jumped on the $500 K20 if I didn't already have the K200 and love it so much. I'll hold out for some bargains on the K7.

I got my K20 from the original BB refurb sale a few months back, mine had a whopping 62 shutter count.

Does best buy shipped Internationally? Any Problems with your K20D or K200D refurb?
