k110 & SD Card Speed

Hey Everyone,

I finally purchased a used K110. A step closer to getting my K7. I feel now I have to re-learn everything from film.

As for media cards, I purchased a 4 gig Dane-elec sd card.

BlacksPhoto - Product (Dane-elec 4GB SD)

Should have I picked up the scan disk 4 gig Ultra II?

As for an update, I returned the cheap slow card and went with the Extreme III 4 gig card.

What a diiference between the two cards!!! A word of advice, do not cheap out on these cards.

Matt, You beat me to it. The SanDisk Extreme III's are the only way to go. The write speed of these cards definitely clears the camera buffer much quicker. I have one 4G Extreme III and really miss it when it gets full and I can't get to my laptop to empty it. I have a no name 16G class 6 card that's not near as fast as the Extreme III. Enjoy your new camera.

If your K110 uses AA batteries which I believe it does. Do yourself a favor and get a couple of sets of Sanyo Eneloop rechargables. They are BY FAR the best rechargable batteries to use in your camera. They are the only thing I use in my K200D. I get around 700 shots per charge and they don't self discharge like the old NiMH and NiCad batteries.
