K7 - Noise during Power on

I am getting this "zheep" noise everytime when i power on the K7, i am not referring to the high pitch sensor cleaning noise.

I removed the len from the mount and found that there is this metal/plastic level on the left side (somewhere in the center) of the len mount that will move a bit during power on and that where the noise comes from.

Did any K7 user here encounter this noise? Just to make sure the K7 i had is not faulty.

Hi

First, don't have you camera powered on without a lens attached.
Second, the noise is the sensor cleaning mechanism start up.

I think they all do that. The aperture coupler mechanism is what you are seeing moving. When the camera is turned on, the mechanism comes off it's rest. The operation is different from older cameras where that component was actuated differently.

Thank you all for your reply.

I have a K20D before and i couldn't remember if i heard this noise on it.

I think it power on silently unless you turn on the sensor cleaning.

Hmm....

That's because the default factory setting is to clean up sensor at power up;
and the frequency at which the sensor is checked for cleaning is higher so it is audible as a beep

Wheatfield, you are right, i can see the aperture level "jerk" a bit during power on and that where the noise occur. It is quite audible.
