Did someone decide to actually make Measurebation a tech term? I've seen it thrown around.

Should I look it up on urbanphotodictionary.com?

I don't see any mention of this in the camera menus or in the printed manual, so I'm guessing it's not possible without some firmware hacking.
.

No AF adjust? Didn't realize that until now.... Dang, first negative surprise (for me) re the K-x.

Still a very compelling camera...

could you tell a word on a sound of taking shots, which one is louder or more silent, is the difference noticable?

thanks
I read somewhere that they thought they K-x shutter was quiet, like the K-7. But I think the shutter of my K-x is louder than the K2000. The K2000 is more of a dull thud to the K-x quick snap. Maybe it's not much louder, but it sounds more abrupt. It's not a sound that will go unnoticed though. They are quite different though. I could probably distinguish them while blindfolded.

Hi, thanks for sharing.
Could you tell a word about AF speed ? Better than K2000 ?
I haven't done any side-by-side testing on that. They seem pretty close in my experience. Maybe the K-x tends to hunt around less. But it's pretty close. Contrast based auto-focus in live-view is agonizing though. Like it may take 4 seconds and not get sharp. I always opt for the mirror-down focus option.

I'm not sure if it's official, but I'm trying to help it along! Just like "ISO elevator" as a term!

Basing on the OP's test at flickr, At 100 to 400 iso i like the k2000 just because of the colors. K2000s color are more saturated especially the yellow. But thats only my opinion. Im hoping to hear from the pros about the colors of kx compared to k2000.

Well, the K2000/K-m was noted for being that fastest-focusing Pentax (damning with faint praise? ) and the K-x reportedly uses the same AF system, so focusing should be similar.

Wouldnt that simply be a default setting in the custom image menu?
If you choose any of the custom images, you can change the saturation settings.

I would think if the colors are less saturated, you could simply adjust for more if needed.

I always use "bright" with the contrast and saturation bumped up two notches.

K-x starts at ISO 200, not 100; presumably that has something to do with why it can do as well as it does as higher ISO levels (because it isn't needing its output amplified as much to get there).

The KX certainly looks interesting to me. It will be interesting to read the reviews when they come out.

Yeah but isn't a high iso photo harder to "fix-up" in photoshop than a low iso photo. Besides I think the K-x has expanded iso range down to 100.
