Javier, I know (I know) that you don't want to shoot RAW, but ETTR will give you much better results with a RAW file .

Yea, I know. But then the time I could be using snaping away, I will have to spend behind the computer

Javier,

what kind of settings do you use on your K-7?

from the EXIF i can see:
# Contrast = hard (2)
# Saturation = normal (0)
# Sharpness = hard (2)

so in essense you are blowing up the noise with that in high ISO and have no NR..
If you would use any other camera like that the results would be similar.
The K-7 does not do NR on the RAW data. The K-20D does!!
So i wonder if you are just pushing the limits here..

(If you have enabled the dynamic range enhancements the results will be even worse..)
