K10 becoming more affordable in Canada

I just saw my local camera guy, and he told me that his price for the K10D just got lowered by $100.00.

As a result we should all be able to buy one for somewhere around $1000.00 Canadian mark soon

Oh, I also understand that the K100D is dropping a little more as well.

Not surprised

I need to buy a K100D within the next 45 days and I've been playing the waiting game. Been trying to out guess what marketing will do to make things look good for Hoya. A two lens K100D kit for $499 is what I think we will see in the USA. That could put the body only at $350. Hope I'm right.

Regards,

Heck, the K10D is already $1019 at the Camera Store. I bought it at $1049 in December.

K100D is $619 at The Camera Store at the moment.

Hehe.. I got the K10D with 16-45, extra battery, K10D backpack and 2GB SD card for HK$8000 during my Hong Kong trip, so $1143 Can. But of course HK Pentax warranty

It sounds like cameras cost more in British Columbia, just like Gas

This place used to be semi affordable.

It's great that the price dropped. With the newly gained strength of the Canadian dollar, it's frustrating to see distributors gouging consumers with CDN prices that are still 30-40% higher than US prices.

Kudos to the CDN distributor of Pentax for actually lowering the price.

I was noticing today that B&H has the K10D for $749US after a $50 rebate. Prices are definitely coming down.
