Time for a K-x photo from the backyard. No PP. Shot using an old Sigma 100-300mm f4.5-6.7 from eBay. Not a sharp or fast lens, but my only long telephoto.

K-x rendered the scene OK, extracting good detail and colour out of a quite ordinary lens under poor light.

Overcast and rainy day, bird sheltering under the car port. (Wet) Pied Butcherbird, ISO 800, 1/180 sec, handheld, SR on.

ISO 800 looks wonderful. Under those circumstances, with that lens - very nice shot rawr.

Thanks for that.

Here, have a Magpie shot at the same location, this time at 6400 ISO. Not because I like shooting at high ISO, but because it was gloomy outside and the bird was in the shade. It's handy that the K-x lets me get these sort of shots with more-or-less reasonable quality.

Taken with a Tamron 70-300 this time. Not the greatest lens either, but here it did an OK job.

Edit: LOL I just realised how old the post by jsherman999 I was replying to was. Sorry everyone for bumping this old thread up.

Add on a small prime like 50mm M or 40mm DA and they become even smaller / easier to carry.

My K-X with 50mm M f/1.7 even fits in a sling case that I used with my Canon SX1 (which I sold after getting the K-X)
