what battery/charger are you using for K-X?

This goes to all the new K-X owners out there, since this is my first DSLR camera, I need to purchase new battery/chargers for it. Any recommendations? I know Sanyo Eneloop seems to be the popular choice, but they are not sold locally here in Edmonton, Alberta.

I would prefer a charger/4 AA rechargable kits. Thanks

I'd be willing to buy it online too if the shipping is not outrageous, so far I'm still using the Kit batteries plus some left-over alkalines..

The PresidentsChoice brand rechargables & chargers are rebadged Eneloop. You can find them in SuperStore. Or you can buy from the follow store:

NCIX.com - Buy Sanyo Eneloop Rechargeable Battery Charger and AA 4 Pack - ECHAA4 In Canada.

Dont buy kit! Most likely it will be 10$ batteries with crappy 5$ charger in 25$ package and pretty charger externals, or 50$ charger with 1$ batteries, priced 75$.

Don't buy cheap chargers, they kill batteries. Get one that allows you to discharge them before charging, because Pentax cam tends to leave some charge in them.
Get eneloops and advanced La-Crosse or Maha charger/analyzer.

My choice was Uniross, with mine I got 4 2700mah batteries. These easily out perform 2500mah Energizers. It takes about 2.5 hours to fully charge 4 batteries.

Eneloops or Rayovac Hybrids.

The precharged duracells are rebranded Eneloops and rayovacs.

Precharged duracells made japan are eneloops
Precharged duracells made in china are rayovac hybrids.

I have both a lacrosse bc-700 and bc-900 love and use them both.

hi! i am thinking to buy a lacrosse charger (still hesitant about bc700 or bc900) but i have a pair of doubts, maybe you can help.

i know default charging current is 200mA, which is the best and the most recommended, but it is 12-14 hours to full charge. i dont usually have time problems, but sometimes i do and i need to charge them faster. my question is, with the other current options (till 1800mA), which is the fastest time to recharge eneloop (or any other model, eneloop for reference)? can you see the remaining time (it would be great to adjust current depending on the time you want, optimizing the current to the lowest possible)?

thank you!

LaCrosse charger here with Powerex 2700mah. Can't say how many shots though, because I'm still on my first set of charged batteries. I have some older Eneloop too, but haven't used them yet on my Kx.
