For some reason Amazon is offering the pre-order on this dual lens kit for the same price they're asking for the 18-55 & 50-200 kit. Really nice deal considering it's usually $850 rather than $750.

Pretty good price, consider the 55-300mm already worth $300, too bad Amazon charges tax, with tax, its almost $800. Nevermind, the Tax is only apply to NY, Some other state is tax free.

Thanks a bunch for this post..I couldn't resist and placed the order. I think its going to take a while to get better price than this.

Now the question that is popping in my mind is.. these lenses are listed as AL lenses.. are they same as DA-L lenses?

Do these lenses have ability to manual focus if needed? Like switching autofocus on/of and using manual focus.

id say you could sell that da-l for about 250-300 on ebay, then maybe 50 bucks for the dal- 18-55 so thats getting this body for like 400-450....

The Amazon listing (now $850) seems to include the older 18-55 AL , not the newer "AL II" which is sharper according to some, and cost a little more. Caveat emptor...

believe this is a mistake... the kits come with the DAL not an older AL or AL II lens

I believe that there is only one version of the DA-L kit. It is optically the same as the DA 18-55 version II.
