After having tried Gillette razor blades from ebay (which turned out to be counterfeit), I would be hesitant to rely on ebay for cheap stuf. Even though you can get your money back through paypal or credit card company, you should just be prepared.

So you are one of those non-ebay trusting people.

Stick with sellers with good feedback and know what you are buying.

ebay is nothing to be scared of.

I have gotten a few good deals that include the charger and 4 AA's for less then $10 shipped. Brand new in the package. Shop around.

Best NiMH AA's you can get are probably GP (Gold Peak). It's what alot of folks use in RC Cars, and what I safeguard my cars with.

You can imagine what happens to a $500-$5000 RC Car/Plane when the radio dies because you tried to save $2-5 on a set of AA's.

I'll never make THAT mistake again - cost me nearly $200 in parts to repair a car!

They're probably only a couple bucks more for 4 AA's than that $20, but worth every penny. I just pulled out a set of 4 that I hadn't used in nearly 2 years, and they still can use nearly 70% of their rated capacity! Not bad for deteriorating on the shelf for almost 2 years!

Costco has a coupon deal on the Duracell DX1500. 4 AA + 4 AAA + "value" charger was 19.99 - 5 coupon was 14.99. Or you can get a pack of 8 AA + 2 AAA and no charger for about the same. this expires 11/29 and you need the coupon book mailed to Costco members.

Does anyone have a thought on charging these Duracells with a Sanyo Eneloop charger? I believe both are "pre-charged NIMH" batteries and seem to be quite similar.

on edit: back of package says "Made in China" so I guess these are the rebadged Rayovacs? Are they any good?

I got the amazing Sanyo MQN05 on ebay for $13 shipped before! Sadly Sanyo doesn't include this charger as much anymore - its one of the most reliable and coolest temperature wise independent cell smart chargers since it uses over 1A charging current (for accuracy) that has a 25% duty cycle (for keeping the cells cool)

Although the description was slightly off, it was verified on candlepowerforums to have the better charger, so I don't know what that says.

Help for the fellow Canadians at least in the province of Ontario. The Duracell rebrand eneloop white tops were on sale for 8.99. Mine rang in for the weekend price of 6.99 a 4 pack of AA?! This was at Shopper Drugmart.

That's hard to beat.
