Actually, after testing the 30 1.4 on my Kx, I have to say its a bit slow in AF due to the heavier glass, and i guess Kx weaker motor.

Maybe flash + one of the DA limited prime is a better combo to capture moving kids. Try DA 21 or 40mm.
