For Canadian buyers I see that they have the K-x plus 18-55mm kit lens for CDN$649 at Black's, sale is advertised until Nov 8th. I don't see it advertised online, but in store it was.

Picked one up yesterday...happy so far though I kind of wish it was the same size as my trusty old K100D

Well that sucks. How is Blacks for service, warranty, returns, exchanges etc? You know, customer service? I'm used to good CS from Vistek and Mcbain.

I bought a bunch of p&s cameras two Christmases ago and and Black's were great. The prices were lower than Walmart, with a free hour-long instructional session, some free prints, and a guaranteed price. Two of the cameras I bought went on sale after Christmas and they gave me the difference, in cash. The third camera was advertised for less at Staples a month after I bought, and they again gave me a refund. Pretty awesome IMO. They're a well-established store, with good return policies. I'm tempted by this K-x offer. The nice thing about Black's (or Henry's) is that they have a local presence and I can stop in and handle the product.

That's great then. I just sold my K10D so now I'm in the market for a K-x and this is the right timing me thinks. If they had the sale price listed online, I could price match Mcbain which is 2 mins walk from where I am.

Might have to head down to Black's today and see this sale.

I assume it's a national sale. I got mine from Mic Mac Mall in Dartmouth, NS.

I wouldn't consider this a sale anymore since McBain, Vistek, London Drugs, and Futureshop all have this price.
