K-X focus trap firmware bug?

I noticed that when I activate the focus trap config option
that it works as expected with the switch in AF-position.

However, it is also active when the switch is in MF position, i.e. I cannot
take the shot when it is not in focus.

On my K10 I can always take the shot in the MF position. Is this the same
in the K20, K7 or K-M?

On the K-7, if the camera AF-mode switch is on "Manual" its fully Manual ie. you can take the shot at any time, regardless of the switch position on the lens.

I was a late convert to Focus trap, but I find I'm using the feature more and more.

Yes, that's indeed how I like it to work...

Looks like a K-X firmware bug to me.

I just did a test and my K-x did not exhibit this bug.

Does it work with the newer lenses?

Strange, did you use an old M manual focus lens, because I tested it
with the M50/1.7 and M135/3.5. I have not tested it with
eg the DA50-135 and the MF switch on the lens.

You are sure option 21 is ON?

Ok, thanks.

So it is probably a bug for old non-A(F) lenses.

That's a pity because trap focus is very especially useful for those non AF lenses...
