Answered my own question after a talk to an on-line representative. The code was forced to end. I think this sucks!

well so much for that, i just got notice that my order has been cancelled, even after they charged me, since they are now out of stock. Wonderful.

I ordered mine yesterday tracking says it will be here Thursday man that's pretty good... I missed out on this deal the first time around because I couldn't make up my mind soon enough.. but snag one quick this time around.. I'm sure deal will be back..

That stinks! I ordered my (k-x with 1 lens, free bag, -$50 discount from DSLR10B code) yesterday from Newegg. As of today, Newegg confirmed the charge to my credit card and provided tracking information as well. The camera supposed to be here by the end of the week. I hope they won't cancel my order, which I doubt since it's already enroute. It's strange that your got cancelled due to out of stock since you ordered your on Sunday.

Mine shipped from Newegg (ordered on Saturday), but today Amazon went back down to $750 for the 18-55/55-300 kit, which I would have rather had. Amazon only had 1 in stock this morning, but you can still preorder now at that price. I would have paid the extra $200 to get the 55-300mm.

well after a lengthy argument with supervisor @newegg, they gave me basicall the same deal on the two lens kit (50-200) for all my troubles. So with my original order the camera's MSRP was $650, then instant $40 off and an additional $50 off with promo SLR10 for a final price of $560. My new order started out at $750 and they gave me $90 off so my final price for the two lens kit will be $660. Oh and get this. My sling bag from the first deal already shipped so they said i get to keep that one too, so now i'll have two bags. What do you guys think? an ok deal? What have you heard about the 50-200mm kit lens? I'm new to photography so what kinds of things will this lens be good for? Thanks!

Sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's a great deal. I would take it.

You can sell the extra bag and lower the final out of pocket amount even more.

I ordered a k-x from central digital on Monday. It was with the kit lens for 598$, with bing discount it was 580$.
Not as good as newegg, but still somewhat cheaper than the usual 650.

I had been checking for the K-x Body w/o lens since that promo code came out and it was always out of stock. Finally it is in stock and then they end the promotion early.
I have spent a lot of money with Newegg over the years, but I sure won't be shopping with them anytime soon now.

My experience -

Just tried placing an order for the Kx -
but like everyone else found the promo code DSLR10B was not valid.

However I phoned NewEgg at 800 390 1119 and spoke to customer service who said the promo code was still valid - and was going to report it to correct it.

However offered to give me the $50 discount on my order if I just send in the order #.

So I placed my order and sent in my order number - got a reply indicating that the price had been adjusted with $50 discounted - checked my NewEgg account and sure enough I got the $50 off.

Along with the Bing Cashback - this makes the price pretty attractive.

Also, I noted that the dual lens kits (both of with the 200mm and 300mm) are back. If the code works then:

1. Kit with 200mm zoom lens = $720 - $50 = $680
2. Kit with 300mm zoom lens = $750 - $50 = $700

Wow, that's a good deal on the 300mm kit.

Btw,
My sling bag arrived yesterday. It's compact, yet big enough to hold the camera with kit lens on, 4 additional lens, charger, batteries, memory cards, and a few other small items. It looks great.

The only thing I do not like about it is that it was designed to only go over your right shoulder. But that's not a big deal for me.

The bag is nice, but larger than I thought it would be. I would actually prefer a more compact bag, but hey, for free I'm not complaining!

I too do like to have a smaller bag, like the Pentax sling bag on Amazon (it's back at $12). A smaller bag would be great for travelling far when I only want to just bring the camera and 1 lens. But after I got the sling bag from Newegg, I thought it would be nice to have this slightly bigger bag for future lens expension and for local travels.
