Quick query, how would a Pentax K20D/Samsung GX20 compare to a Sony Alpha 700?

Can't answer that one, but I'll tell you I was very close to buying a D300. Final things that swayed me to K-7:
K-7 is way smaller. I just can't see the point in a big camera, unless you're uncoordinated. I use it with small lenses and large ones (70-200/f2.8 with 1.4x TC) no problem.
K-7 is weather sealed. Even though I don't have weather sealed lenses, it's still a big plus.
K-7 has VR in the body so all lenses are stabilised.

Apart from that they are quite similar in spec. AF speed apparently is similar but D300 may have better tracking ability. Only an issue for fast moving subject.
