Does the K-x come with 300mm kit only?

We already own two 18-55 II's in our kits(mixup) and so I really don't want to invest in another. I do wish they'd offer the 16-45 or something other than the 18-55's but... things can't always go in our favor.

However I'd give the 55-300 a try!

Does anyone know if they the K-x with this lens alone or is this to odd an combo?
Also, do they sell the K-x alone?
Are the savings worth it or should I just stick with the kits and try selling the lenses afterward?

Many retailers break down the kits and sell the K-x body only. Look at the selling prices of the kit lenses on the marketplace to gauge - personally I wouldn't deal w/ the hassle and just get the body only.

I agree - if you do not intend to keep the lenses, it is not worth it (considering shipping, paypal fees and time) to buy any of the kits with the intention to re-sell the lenses. You can pickup the body only for $600 from adorama (buy through ebay and it is free shipping, and you can use bing.com cashback to get 8% back too).

If however you definitely to want the 55-300, the 2 lens kit is the cheapest you are going to find it - in that case you can probably recoup about $50 from the sale of the 18-55 - even though it is the L version (no metal mount, no quickshift and no hood), getting the 55-300 for essentially $200 is a no brainer. If you wanted this lens anyway, and can live without the 3 things different from the standard version 55-300, and are also getting a Kx there is no reason to not buy the 2 lens kit in my mind. If I didn't already have that lens, I definitely would've done that myself.
