K100d Super Debug Menu Instructions

First off, thank you Penta-Club.ru! Not sure if he was the original one or not, but AnBlack over at the site found out how to get the debug menu for the K100D Super.

Instructions from First disassembly results Blog

1. on root of SD card, create a text file, MODSET.txt.
2.Open the file and type in the following, exactly as seen below:

[DEBUG_MODE EN]
[OPEN_DEBUG_MENU]

3. Save and rename the file to MODSET.459.
4. Insert SD card into camera and leave SD card door open.
5. While holding the MENU button, turn the camera on. The back LCD screen will flash then turn off. Turn the camera off.
6.Close the SD card door and turn on the camera. You'll see the LCD stays on and displays some debug code.
7. Press the MENU button and goto the Set-up tab. The very last entries should now be CAPTURE TEST, SYSTEM TEST and AF TEST.

Later today I'll post results for turning the debug menu off.

I know it it supposed to be like the K10D debug menu. Google K10D hacks and it would be the same as the K100D super.
Never tried it though as I don't have any problems with my K100D super.

Debug menu is usually for calibration of the AF.
The K20D can do this for the lens you attach on it but for the K100D/s, I think, you can only select 1, therefore, you have to make sure that the calibration you make is average for all the AF lenses you attach to it. You won't be able to get it spot on for every lens you mount on it.
This is also the reason why I don't mess with mine, if it aint broke, there is no use fixin it.
MF you adjust by, as it says, focusing manually so it won't have issues with FF or BF.

Yeah, I adjusted my K100d super a couple of weeks ago.

To get into the debug menu, you need the "GX10-K10D Debug Menu Control" program that's floating around. Follow the instructions that come with it to enter debug menu.

To exit debug menu, you have to follow the instructions that make use of the buttons to get to debug. Once in, disable debug from the camera.
