For all those who are saying look look! The k-x at $600 is better than the 7d at $1700! Well you're completely wrong. Price has nothing to do with IQ as long as you stay within APS-C. What you get for your money with the 7d is more external controls, a better LCD, better video, better autofocus, a better viewfinder, and better build quality. These are all things that will enhance the photography experience and will most likely result in a larger number of keepers.

Ding! ding! ding! Bingo. And even when I use flash I tends to go to ISO800 or ISO1600 just to balance my flash and ambient light so that I don't get that flashy look. Do I make any sense at all? LoL

I guess I must just shoot different than most of you.

I never go above ISO 800, and usually not even that high. When shooting in RAW it is always easy to push things quite a bit if they come out too dark.

How often do people actually shoot at ISO 3200 and then crop 100%?

If you're using a flash you should be trying to get ISO 100 all the time, and for darker situations you should probably get faster glass instead of relying on high ISO.
If you're shooting indoors with a flash at ISO 100, you'll be having no ambient light in the shot. Black backgrounds and people lit up like christmas trees does not a good shot make!

Agreed. The 7D also has a blistering fast AF, even in low light. I have never tried a camera with such a fast and accurate AF. It was eye-opening to say the least.

I am happy to see how good the k-x sensor is though! A K-7 with that sensor would really be nice for low light.

I think the whole comparison was just about the ISO performance. Nothing more

Obviously people who buy upper end cameras do it for all of the additional features, not just the high iso shooting ability. That said, the Kx is pretty impressive.
