K10D Value

I would like to upgrade to either a K20D or K7 but before I do I need to sell my K10D. Can someone tell me what would be a fair price for it. I don't have the box or papers except for the owners manual but it is in mint condition. I just took photo 1209 today. I'd also be willing to include the kit lens too. Any help would be appreciated....Thanks ...Sprags

Prices for a good K10D body only range around the US$300 mark.

If you have other options like a swapped focusing-screen (good quality one), then the price goes up s well. Also, sometimes selling it locally will get you better prices than selling it online.

Looking at the market, I think I'd keep it as a back up. Especially since your camera is hardly "broken in".

Good point, that's what I've done.

The would be an nice alternative. But I really can't afford two cameras for a number of reasons.

From the threads I've seen in the groups here it seems that a K20D would also be another option.

One of the main reasons I'm interested in either a K7 or maybe the K20D is for low level light photography. I took a few shots last Sunday and the IQ if those shots in darker settings just wasn't what I feel arr acceptable.

The IQ is great in low light as long as you can keep your ISO low. But once you have to bump the ISO up so that you can have a fast shutter, that's where you suffer a bit. It's the reason why I got the K-x over the K20D or K-7. Also, invest in Noise Ninja plugin...
