This is the best advice. This is what will keep your camera from getting wet. Make sure to cool it down slowly and warm it up slowly. If you have silica gel packets, pile them up around the camera as you warm it up after the day is over. (Dry, uncooked rice works very similarly to silica gel, by the way)
Actually, the best thing to do when taking a camera from cold to warm is to put it in a plastic bag while it's still outside, taki it inside and leave it until it warms up. It doesn't matter if it warms slowly or quickly, other than it needs to be warmed up prior to use.

Well yes, the plastic bag is a must. But I mention the 'slowly' bit because I've heard of people putting electronic devices on heating vents, in ovens, or blow drying them, etc. They try to force it. I'm sure the OP wouldn't try something weird like that, but for the sake of anyone else reading this, it's worth mentioning.

I've never put a camera in an oven, but I have put them on a heat register to hurry the process along. Nothing wrong with doing that.

I always just put the camera in the camera bag and let it change temperature through that.

Not as sealed as a ziplock, probably just as sealed as a plastic bag with the top tied or twisted, at least my bag.

You get gear to use it, not to pamper it. If it braks, get a new one
(You wont have any fun if you dont bring your camera with you!)
