Best deals on K-x (body only or w/18-55)

Amazon ended its previous, very generous price-matching policy this year. Officially, once you buy it and it is shipped to you, that is the price you pay. If you pre-order or the price drops before the item ships/you are charged, then you are eligible for the lower price.

The old rule was that within a 30 day window, you were eligible for the lowest price they offered the prodcut on their website.

This change means that some CSRs will still provide a price match, while others will vehemently deny it's possible. I've even had Amazon CSR's advise me to buy-return as they couldn't pricematch. Just FYI.

FYI everyone ... at least for right now, Bing cashback is 20% at Walmart.

Adorama has the red, white, and black kits (w/ 18-55) for $549! But the color I want, navy blue, is $619.

I got a white one. I spent last night playing a little but my poorly lit apartment with weird lighting is probably not the greatest place to take my first shots.

I think it is probably the best deal you will find right now for body only, thought that may depend on how much of the 20% sales tax will eat up. I was originally planning on just getting the body, but I was leaning towards white and the kit lens when I bought ended up costing about $20 more. Doubt I will use it much, but nice to have and since it matches may help future eventual resale value.

Beach Camera via eBay has the navy blue K-x for $599. And then if you do Bing cashback you get 8% off of that for a total cost of $551. Also, what's nice about Beach and Bing is that you get the cashback instantly in your PayPal account.

it has always been the case for me as well through beach/ebay...maybe because you were a first time cashback user or something like that...you'll get it though! I am waiting for my adorama money (through ebay) at the moment, about half way there

Oops! I had read somewhere about a few stores that did "quick cashback" and mis-read one of the stores as being Beach Camera as I've had good luck that way with them. Turns out it was Beach Audio.

If you search "Nintendo Wii" on Bing you will get an sponsored link from ebay with 15% cashback. Once you are at ebay, search for k-x you like to get the 15% cashback instead of 8%.

At bing .com don't click shopping. Just type the keyworkd on the search box.
