Absolutely go fr the K-7. I still have a K20D which I prefer its ergonomics and interface but the 100% viewfinder and automatic horizon correction are worth the sacrifice. Easily.

Yes

Most definitely.

I waited from the *stD days for the right replacement to come out and just love the K7 - for me it is spot on. There will undoubtedly be something better come along in the future - but if history is anything to go by it will be the cheaper models that get shuffled around and a long wait for the K8 or whatever it is called.

Exactly. I find it easy to see when I'm way off but I often got about 0.5 degrees of tilt still which is really annoying. Plus, being a maniac about not filtering my images, I just delete the tilted ones.

The K-7 corrects that most of the time but it is not complete fail-proof. You can imagine my surprise when I read the Canon 7D manual and it stated their level is accurate to +/- 1 degree! That would make it useless because it is within that accuracy that one needs a level. Luckily, in practice I found the accuracy to be 0.25 degrees which is better than me!
