Hi.

I recently purchased a K-x. I noticed there was no warranty card in the box. So I went to their website and registered it, but it seemed a little odd there was nothing in the box about the warranty. (Maybe it mentions it in the manual and I just haven't noticed it yet. )

They also didn't have the K-x listed as an option when I registered it. I had to use "Other".

I was just curious if this was normal, or maybe I just didn't happen to get a card in my box.

where did you buy your k-x from? that's strange that there's no paper work.

i'd check w/ the vendor and make sure it's not grey market stuff.

I don't have it in front of me, but doesn't the white heavy paper card have the serial number, and say something specifically about it not being a warranty card, but that all pentax cameras carry a 1yr international warranty, something to that effect?

I don't think I got a separate warranty card with either of my last 2 cameras. One of them I bought locally and it included a form that California requires, so I knew it wasn't black market. The K-7 didn't have a warranty card, and I bought it early when they had the extended warranty on it. I called or emailed (don't remember which) and they sent me the appropriate certificate.

Yes, I did get the cards with the serial numbers for the camera and lenses.

Seems to be the norm to not get a warranty card.

I got a warranty card with mine but was from the Australian distributor for Pentax.
