Dear folks,
After looking around in this forum, i can tell that more people are going to use the new Pentax K-x..
I've planned to buy this model too.. But at this time, i'm in deep situation to decide,
"what pentax k-x color should i choose? (i order k-x directly from my cousin in japan.. in that case, i can choose 20 body colours but unfortunately, i can't go to the store and see the camera directly and point the color i like..)"

i've been tryin to use the PENTAX SIMULATOR on the net, but the color in the simulator, is not the same if you compared with the ACTUAL COLOR..
(i've search some actual pictures on the net, but it's not CLEAR ENOUGH for me to take the decision)..

For the example, the chocolate color in simulator are darker than in the actual color.. The Cream / Mocca looks brighter rather than the simulator.. On the Simulator, the Olive ones are more darker & solid compared in the actual, which is more brighter..

My Question is,
1). What color will you choose (to help me)?
2). If you already have the camera / already order it (in transit), what color do you purchase? Why?

it is difficult to make choice for others, i bought myself same old black colored k-x.

I live in japan so all colors are available, just that could not wait for 2 weeks they asked for.

Just to be aware, some of the colors seem to be pretty metallic/glossy from live photos. They were up on this board somewhere, showing most if not all of them.

What kind of colors do you like? Trying to be flamboyant, want it to look cool, etc?

I think if I wanted to get fancy, I might actually choose something subtle, like black with brown grips (I like that scheme) or the sand/tan one. But I'm not very daring. And kind of need inconspicuous.

Silver with brown could also be cool. Or if there's a dark grey.

i like calm colors, like sand/tan, chocolate or olive..
not the glossy one..

is there any example of their ACTUAL colors? Photo / Link maybe?

Its a very glossy finish, I love it though - looks better in the flesh than any photo.

i had the same problem as you! prowled the internet for real-life photos of the k-x and found this useful chinese website: here (the custom colored models are on page 4-7)

but i feel that colours seem darker than in snapshots taken by people in camera shops.

btw, why there is no Black K-x with Blood Red Grip???
I've been searching for this possibilities on Pentax Color Simulator, but i can't find it..
PENTAX K-x with Black Body and Red Blood Grip, it sounds tough, neutral and customize..
And even your K-x is black, but it have a Red Grip, which is they will know that this kind of customization only available in Japan..
