1 min HD video K-x

So I got my K-x today and so far I love it. One problem I am having is I can only take about 1 min. of HD video at a time. After the one minute the camera just stops capturing.

I'm 99% sure that this is because of the speed of the SD card. I just have a Crucial 2GB card that i'm pretty sure is only Class 2.

So I'm trying to make sure that I am right, this is just a slow SD card issue, and if so what SDHC card has given you the best experience so far?

Thanks

K-x video can certainly record past one minute on the K-x.

SDHC cards that I've used to successfully record video (eg a 3-4 minute duration live music performance, continuously recording) include the Sandisk Ultra Class 4 '15MB/s' 8GB SDHC card, Sandisk Ultra II and even a regular Sandisk Class 2 4GB card.

I use a 16gb Sandisk Extreme III 30mb/sec SDHC card with my K-7 and never had any problems shooting 9 1/2 minute + 720p *** mode clips back to back.

K-7 rather than K-x, but I've shot 13+ minute two-star 720p clips on a 16GB SanDisk Ultra card labelled as Class 4 / "15MB/s*".

Beats me how you can have an asterisk on the card label without the disclaimer also being on the card itself, though. (The disclaimer being, 15MB/s is the read speed - write speed is significantly less.)

I have a K-x and it definitely lets me record more than a minute. I have some optima 8gb sdhc card. It looks like I can record up to 25 minutes, because when I start recording, a backwards counter starts on the screen with 25 minutes remaining.

As a side note, I found the video quality very very good. Many times I shot in a badly lit room and the video came out perfectly lit up. My friends were surprised to see that kind of quality in the video from a DSLR.

cheers
