Hi everyone. I just bought a new K20D and I'm looking for an inexpensive battery grip for it. Any thoughts or suggestions? I had an Opteka brand grip on my Canon and LOVED it, but I don't think they make them for Pentax Thanks!!

You can find some cheap ones but they are not weathersealed like the K20D OEM grip.
You might try to find some here on the marketplace too for "used" ones.
If you are ok with the non-weathersealed ones then try ebay.
Here's the plain Jane without weathersealing nor the "wheel" (has only the shutter button): NEW Camera Battery Grip for Pentax K10D K20D GX10 D-BG2 - eBay (item 270492901991 end time Dec-09-09 10:00:26 PST)

Here's one that has all the OEM features (all buttons) except weathersealing: Pro Battery Grip for Pentax K10D K20D as D-BG2 B1U - eBay (item 260413260128 end time Dec-14-09 23:51:55 PST)

Hi...Welcome to the forum. This one probably belongs in the field accessories thread or some such, but I will give you a short answer. There are a number of users that use grips other than the Pentax brand. These are available on eBay and other places on the Web. I did a short Google search and found this one at DealExtreme.com:
DealExtreme: $38.32 Vertical Battery Grip for Pentax K10D Digital SLR Camera
I can't vouch for quality or workmanship, but it is a starting place.

Welcome to the forum.
Hope you enjoy your time here.
I would personally not recommend a 3rd party grip - for something that's bound to last a lifetime you may as well dig in, save up and buy the genuine part that looks, feels and is built so much better.

Thanks for the replies. I also searched Ebay and Google and there were a million options out there. I did not know that the Pentax grip is weathersealed! Dome deal then. Pentax it is! Thanks.
