This may be one of the last posts in this thread - as I've recently bought a Pentax K-5 (the original) at a very advantageous price -
I was looking seriously at the K-30 - as that offered really advanced features including weather-proofing and real pentaprism at a budget price - I was just waiting for the K-30 price to settle down so I would not have to pay the premium/penalty of a new introduction - when I noticed the K-5 dropping in price - when I saw the K-5 on offer for $684 shipped I could not resist.

as usual plenty of playing off stage:

moving the mic off stage and playing from the floor in front of the stage made for interesting composition - but it was
difficult to balance the main subject almost all back-lit to the directly lit stage:
but even that was nothing compared to these shots:
the playing here was so spirited I had to try to get a shot - almost nothing to focus on - I think in the end I had to use either the fire extinguisher label or the sign above pointing to it.
