Is $700 too much to ask for NIB K20D?

I don't know if this belongs here or in the marketplace section, but I have a NIB Pentax K20D kit (18-55mm lens) and I don't think I'm going to keep it. It was an early Christmas gift and I have a ton of Canon gear so I was thinking about selling the Pentax. I just don't want to price myself out of the market since I don't know a whole lot about Pentax. I was thinking $700 shipped but that might be way too high or low. Sorry if this is in the wrong place btw.

It isn't too far off, but it seems a bit too high if you ask me. Maybe $650 at first would be more reasonable, and you'll probably want to be willing to come down in price a little bit if you have no initial takers. It's a couple years old by now so demand may be diminishing for it (although it is a great little camera, I have one myself), and the new K-x is a great bargain which can be had for less than $600 with a kit lens. I know a lot of sellers on ebay are selling the K200D for under $700 so unless you at least compete with them then you may find it hard to sell online. May have different luck locally, not sure.

If you have sold on ebay I would post there. Put NIB in title and a $700 buy it now. With bing someone is only paying $560 total after cash back, but you still get the full $700 minus fees of course. (assuming you are selling in america, dont know for others)

If it was a gift and you want to sell it fast, then sell it at a price that will sell and not a price that is the same as the others.
New cameras are coming out and the more longer you hold on to that, the more it will depreciate in value.
If I where you, I'd sell it for around $550-600.
You actually didn't pay for it and would you rather have a K20D BNIB or $550-600?
I'll actually be happy with the moolah if I already had a different system.

I see two choices - a lower price here on Marketplace or try eBay as frooggy suggests.

I bought a new K20D not long ago for just under $600 from an authorized dealer, and that's the sort of reference point most will have on this forum.

considering one can buy an actual new K20D for $699 and get the warranty, $700 is too much. But on eBay set it at $750 and use Best Offer and BIN...see what happens, but someone will buy it. FYI, if ya use Best Offer be sure and set the automatic accept and auto-reject levels (both can be the same price or different) because this will weed out the lowballer's on the BO's and lock on a potential buyer who makes a reasonable BO. This time of year it's almost all I use, but I sell in a much different category from cameras and such.

Decided to keep it. Now I'm looking for a cheap Pentax grip and a VERY gently used 18-250mm or 28-200mm lens! Thanks everyone!
