K7 test photos in my Album

I decided to post some pics I have taken those past few days with the K7.
All those pics from my "Test only" album are shown full size then cropped at 100%, at different ISO's and with different lenses.
They are basically untouched, direct from RAW to JPEG's via Pentax Utilities 4; one (named "figurines") has been slightly changed because of the original pink hue.
One other ("gyrfalcon") is shown first at 50% cropping then at 100% crop. The bird is so VERY rare that I took a chance at a very, very far distance.

Please view them here: PentaxForums.com - jpzk's Album: Album 1 Test only

Comments welcome.

JP

... follow up:
The images taken at higher ISO (1600 and up) turned out very nice using minimal noise reduction with NoisewarePro, without previous noise reduction under Photoshop.
I will post a few samples as soon as I find the time to do so.
The results are good, given that I very rarely shoot at more than ISO 1000-1250.
Details are very well retained and there is no, or hardly any, "lissage" from the NR.

It's quite obvious that the K-7 can be used without problems at ISO 1600.

Kind regards

The ones with noise reduction are not yet posted. Those here in the album are straight out of the RAW files.

I think there might have been a little too much negative comments regarding the "awful" K7 noise at higher ISO, although I tend to agree that the K20D, which I also have, shows less noise at those higher ISO's.

Thread uninteresting? ... maybe nobody cares about the reported K7 noise issue, except for those brave souls who dared looking at some pics.
Anyway, I'll add some to my "Test Album" just in case some people might become interested.
See Y'all!

No... no... keep it coming. Looking forward to the noise reduced version. Nice work. Thanks.

OK, here are couple high ISO's, k-7, withouth and with NR in my album. Just non-scientific test for noise;

Hi Jadran,
Those pics at 3200 and 6400 are quite surprising actually!
I was not at all expecting such high ISO rendering with the K7, especially with all the fuss around this noise issue.
True that at 3200 and 6400 ISO is not something I would even dare trying out in the firls, but it does show that it is capable of it.
I will test it at that range myself, now that you've tempted me.
Cheers.

Yes, I was surprised myself! One is shoot under daylight, but the doll (ISO 6400) was shoot under tungsten light (120 W). With a good exposure K-7 copes pretty well with noise. Then, add a some chroma NR in post, and voilà!

That sort of comforts me a bit, knowing that one can use the "useable" higher ISO settings, and therefore gain quite a bit in shutter speed.
