Morning all. Apologies for signing up just to ask for help, feel like a bit of a leech.
That said, I had a minor disaster with the battery enclosure on my K100d yesterday, and I've no idea where to start.
It's my own fault, I have a tripod mount on the bottom which I always leave on, and it had rotated slightly so it fouled the edge of the battery compartment door. I didn't realise, and as I opened the battery door (heavy handedly it would seem) little bits of plastic and springs(?) flew in all directions. I now have the door (seems to be a seperate inner and outer skin) still attached on it's hinge, but having tried to re-assemble the bits I have it doesn't seem to go, and I've a feeling I've probably lost something.
Is there anywhere I can get a replacement battery door and fix it myself?
Do I need to take it into a shop, or will I need to be speaking to Pentax?
ANY help or suggestions very greatly appreciated. I just don't know where to start really! I'm game for having a go at fixing it myself, but it looks very fiddly.
