K-x auto focus issue

Quite some people around me complaint about back/front focus for K-x. Do you guys experience any of those problems? Mine had back focus, and I entered debug mode to make it spot on. So no more complains here.

looks like you're surrounded by people with...no AF issues. oh and +1, no issues.

Since no one here is surrounding you with this issue, where are you being surrounded with it? Do you have this camera yourself?

mine seems to be spot on at least w/ my 18-250 lens

interestingly enough, my kx came with -20 in the AF adjustment debug screen

pentax must be fine tuning the kx's at the factory

AF is spot on for all my lenses, even those that needed correction on the K20D. Very strange. (

Mine is always out of focus when the subject is at least 3-4 meters from me, with any lenses. I sent it to Pentax to get it fixed, I hope to get it before the holidays. Focusing with live view is almost always spot-on.

My was pretty spot on, except for it was slightly front focused. The debug menu shows it was set at -10. I set it to -70 and am very happy with it so far.

I've not tested extensively but in a few recent photo I've seen some front focus.
Id say 98% of my photos are spot on though.
Not looked at debug yet.

Mine has back focus. Set the af adjustment to 100 solved the problem.

My K10D has strong backfocus. I had to set it to +180. After adjusting this big focus problem, only center AF point is adjusted, and all the other points are the same as before. Is it the same thing with K-x debug mode adjustement, does it correct only center AF point?
Also, I am annoyed with inability to manual focus without the help of AF confirm indicator in the viewfinder, because everything I see as sharp image is actually backfocused. Is this also the same with K-x?
I hate to even think about buying brand new K-x, and to discover back/front focus issues. I really don't know why Pentax didn't implement focus correction in the menu like on K20D. This shouldn't be an extra feature, especially if Pentax don't bother to adjust focus with every digital body it sells.
