yeah, the blue just comes with the standard black DA L 18-55mm. The white and red versions have a matching lens (only the 18-55 kit is available for the colored bodies, no 50-200 or 55-300 bundles).

Does anyone know if the white one is painted white or is the plastic natively white by itself? in other words, if the plastic is natively white, a scratch can be polished out. If it is painted, a scratch will reveal the underlying color, whatever that might be

also, can anyone comment on the plastic durability of the black vs white?

I understand the white plastic is not texturize so do you feel it is more prone to scratch?

I am familiar with the black one but I have yet to put my hands on a white unit. None of the stores I went to visit had the white unit for show

I have the black K110D which I know has a very rugged body because the texture plastic is quite scratch resistant. After 3 years of use, and I don't even have a dedicated pouch to carry the camera, the plastic body is stil immaculate.

As far as I can see from the battery and memory card doors, the plastic is white by itself. The surface of the white ones is glossier than black ones.

White K-X kit

I received my (wife's Christmas present) new k-x camera yesterday and it does look incredible. I got the kit with the 300 but the extra lens is back ordered through Best Buy The 300 lens is black though and not white like the camera and the 18-55.

how do people get through daily life which requires many many important decisions when it requires a committee of hundreds to help them decide what camera color to buy?

you guys in the USA are so lucky for prices! Amazon does not ship to Canada right?

Here in Canada, the lowest price so far is $639CAD

I am still undecided between the black or white. I wonder if the white color (or other colors for that matter) is to fashionized and that I will get tired of that color after a while whereas the black is a sure thing, it will remain classic over time, what do you think?

Prodigital2000 is an ebay seller right? I was searching for their address but the only thing I could find in Google was their ebay store.

anyone knows if they are authorized Pentax dealer for warranty purposes (pentax canada offers 2 year warranty when bought thru authorized dealer)

yes, it's an eBay store. AFAIK, they offer international warranty. best thing is to call them directly, but I know there are plenty of this forum users who bought items from them at a very competitive prices.
