I'm thinking what is, is.
The Samsung K7 sensor is not the best-of-best (now) but is still pretty good by current standards.

You buy each camera based on what is currently available. What pisses people off is that before digital we just changed films/developers instead of cameras/sensors when looking for more of "whatever" and this superficially was cheaper.

We can debate the relative costs of each approach but in the end it is probably similar because chemical processing was not cheap.

Anyway, my K7 is OK so far, even with its relatively poor high ISO. There was once a time when ISO400 was extreme... yes I know time and technology marches on... but really? Numbers do not make life, nor art.

Digital photography first needs to equal before it passes the chemical analogue we have had for a hundred years or so.
