Do I need Pentax K-x, if I have Nikon D90?

Hi guys, have a question.
My father has Nikon D90. I will sell Pentax K20D + Double kit these week firstly because I don't use double kit. But the main problem is what to go for - K-x(same sensor as D90) or K-7(no upgrade in IQ).
So, if you have Nikon D90 what will you go for?

I don't understand the question, and what your father's D90 has to do with the k-x or K-7? If I had a D90 already, I wouldn't waste my money on another body. I would invest in better glass for the D90. What advantage does a k-x or k-7 give you if you already have a D90?

I dont't fully understand your question, but if you have a D90 I think you can stay with it and use your energy on picture making. D90 is an excellent camera as far as I know.

It really depends on what you shoot and what you are willing to pay. The K7 is really similar in image quality to the K20, but includes a lot of features not available in the K20. The kx is much smaller and has better high iso capability. Which works better for you?

As to the D90, it is a good camera. I think the K7 is speced a little higher than it, but it has better high iso capability and a little faster focusing. As mentioned above, rather changing cameras all the time, it is better to move up in glass. Shooting any of these cameras with the kit lens is not maximizing their potential.

If you would like to keep a Pentax body around to essentially take advantage of your nice Pentax lenses and also complement the D90, buy a K-x. It's quite affordable too and very comparable in IQ to the D90, so you and your father can take your cameras along to the same places and you won't feel like you are the poor cousin.

Otherwise just sell all your Pentax gear and concentrate on Nikon - maybe buy a D90 or D5000 for yourself?.

What don't you like about the K20? I've read many posts where people would prefer it to a D90.

Jaleel... you say that you plan to sell the K20 and a double kit this week. I just want to make sure... you mean you want to sell the camera body and a two-lens kit, correct? Which lenses are those? Because your other lenses for Pentax seem to be pretty nice. The cheapest option, of course, would be to keep the K20 for your Pentax lenses. But the K-x does offer advantages in terms of high-ISO IQ, AF performance and burst mode over the K20... plus it's substantially smaller, lighter and less expensive than the K7. Reduced size and weight is a very legitimate reason for having a second camera body and/or system around. It makes particular sense if your other camera is a Nikon D90. While it's not Nikon's biggest or heaviest DSLR, it's not what I'd call tiny or lightweight, either. If you're not satisfied with the K20, than I'd opt for the K-x over the K7 at this time... especially if you have ready access to a Nikon D90.

I just want Da21 + a bit smaller camera like K-x or k-7.
I'm satisfied with K20D sensor, so K-7 is good, but sometimes thats not enough, better to say the result is not good enough.
And it's dillema, cause I can use Nikon for such sutuations, but I can't use pentax glasses

I still say go with the K-x... that body and a DA21 makes a nice, small package - and it's still less money the K7.
